Installation Tip: Once installed, the Free Hanging Shelf Bracket should fit three inches into the wall. The length of your bracket should be the same depth as your countertop. So for example, if you have a countertop that is fourteen inches deep, you will want a bracket that is fourteen inches long. This allows for a countertop overhang of three inches, which is most ideal. Example shown in picture is the FH-14-U.

Invisible Support for Floating Vanities

The Original Vanity Bracket® is the perfect concealed support for floating vanities, offering sleek, durable support in both moisture-prone environments like bathrooms and more traditional spaces. Crafted from Industrial Ribbed Aluminum, this bracket provides rust-proof strength, making it ideal for interior or exterior installations.

Designed to mount directly to 2x4 wood studs before drywall or tile installation, this bracket ensures your vanity stays securely in place. For maximum stability, it is essential to fasten the bracket into each 2x4 stud. If your studs are metal, please refer to the installation video for special instructions.

NOTE: This bracket is designed to support overhangs ranging from 18 to 26 inches.

The vertical tang adds reinforcement by mounting both above and below the horizontal piece, preventing twisting and ensuring the vanity remains stable. Once installed, you can finish the wall with your chosen material, creating a seamless, floating appearance for the vanity.

Dimensions:

  • Horizontal Piece Length: [Select in listing] (Total length from tip to tip; 3 inches will be hidden inside the wall)
  • Width: 2 ½ inches
  • Thickness: 1 inch

Vertical Tang Dimensions:

  • Vertical Length: 11 inches (5.25 inches above and 5.25 inches below the horizontal piece)
  • Width: 2 ½ inches
  • Thickness: ¼ inch
  • Hole Diameter: ¼ inch (3 screw holes above and 3 below the horizontal piece)

How to Choose the Right Bracket Size:

When measuring, the horizontal piece is measured from tip to tip. Keep in mind that approximately 3 inches of the bracket will be secured inside the wall. For example, if you have a 24-inch vanity, select a 24-inch bracket—3 inches will be inside the wall, leaving 21 inches to support the vanity with a slight overhang.
