Installation Tip: Once installed, the Free Hanging Shelf Bracket should fit three inches into the wall. The length of your bracket should be the same depth as your countertop. So for example, if you have a countertop that is fourteen inches deep, you will want a bracket that is fourteen inches long. This allows for a countertop overhang of three inches, which is most ideal. Example shown in picture is the FH-14-U.

Crafted from Industrial Ribbed Aluminum, The Original™ Floating Vanity Bracket® is rust-proof and moisture-resistant, making it the ideal support solution for bathrooms, wet areas, and even outdoor installations. Designed for secure attachment to 2"x4" wood studs before drywall or tile installation, these brackets provide strong, concealed reinforcement to keep your vanity securely in place. If mounting to metal studs, please refer to our installation video for special instructions. The new vertical version is perfect for vanities that have a smaller space but where you still need reinforced strength.

How to Choose the Right Bracket Size

  • When selecting a bracket, keep in mind that approximately 3" will be secured inside the wall.
  • Example: If you have a 24" vanity, select a 24" bracket—3" will be hidden, leaving 21" of support with a slight overhang.

Can the brackets be painted white? 

All brackets are painted with a rust inhibitor black paint but are easy to paint with your desired color.

Can I install the L -Bracket directly to the wall?

The L-Bracket is designed to be installed over a knee wall or inside of a cabinet. For a similar bracket designed to be mounted to a call please view our "Regular Shelf Bracket"

What's the difference between the Steel and Industrial Bracket? 

The Industrial brackets are 1" thick as opposed to the 1/2" in steel. They are designed to be used with overhangs that reach 24" or for outdoor applications.
